Mr. Reece, I have been playing your fine intruments since 1974, and have just aquired my newest-and so beautiful sounding- a burgandy maple laquer S-12 called "The Universal" XL supersustain II. It's serial # is 1C7101. Could you tell me something about that era in your manufacturing experience? This is my 14th MSA steel and I just love the tone!

Hi Ward......It's hard to say whether you or Paul Wade has owned the most MSA guitar's.

Serial number 1C7101 was originally shipped to Bill Payne in Lakeland Florida. It shows to be a walnut color Universal 12 string which left the factory with 8 pedals and 5 knee levers. The exact date of production was not entered into record, however I would guess it was produced in late 1982.

All of us at MSA greatly appreciate the loyalty of our many customers over the years.

.........as far as I know Darvin own's the most MSA's. However, what I was referring too was the number of personal MSA guitars owned over time. I would think Ward having had 14, would be close to the record.
