In the early 70's I had the privelege of spending some time with the late Gary Boggs when he played the Wembley Festival and toured the UK with George Jones. At the time Gary was playing a Kline which he sold over here, I would have bought it but didn't have the money. Before he left to go back to the States Gary gave me a copy (a 45) of Ernie Ashworth singing "Talk Back Tremblin' Lips" and it has always been one of my favourites and will always remind me of Gary, A really great Guy.-- For Gary.

Dave,
Zeke Dawson played the Opry with Wilma Lee Cooper during the 80's and 90's. Best I remember, he was from West Virginia. He worked some with Loretta Lynn and Ray Price.
He operates heavy equipment at a landfill, and plays music as a hobby with a bluegrass band in middle Tennessee. Zeke is a good player. |

Thank you gentlemen for your comments. Bernie I meant to answer your question before and forgot, yes it is the MCI and I still keep getting caught up in the back neck from time to time. Rick thanks for the info on Zeke. Hope your OK Jimmy.

Yes, I remember Zeke. He worked with Price for awhile back in the '60s. I was lucky enough to do some session work with him back in the '60s, also. Some time after he left Ray, he played with the Washington (DC) Symphony, and then went on to work for Wilma Lee Cooper and George Jones. |
