LET US BREAK BREAD TOGETHER gospel song with lap steel

Post by Dom Franco »

Here is an old Gospel Spiritual song I first learned in High School Choir. I am having a blast reworking and recording these great old songs. It is also a wonderful vehicle to provide a background for playing my lap steel.

Dom,
I loved it. Gospel songs don't seem to get much attention on the forum. I have posted some with little response. I love them. Post or send me some more. I play with several other players that also love Christian or gospel music that will enjoy them.

Dom,

Two good numbers. 8)

I enjoyed the arrangement of "Let Us Break Bread Together" with the choral backing. You did a good job of making this song come to life.

Your original gospel song is a nice bouncy number also and good listening. 8)

Thanks for sharing both.

Aloha, :)

Dom,I've been trying to think of some gospel songs to do on steel and this gives me some insperation. Your original has an early Eagles feel to it which I like. Great job.

Dom,
Mark is right, this has a great Eagles feel to it. I have a friend that hosts internet radio station streams and has several country stations he hosts. I would like to send this to him to send to the country stations.

You are welcome to send it.
The song "No Good Excuses" is From the album BETHLEHEM. It has been played on Christian radio before, and I even received ASCAP royalties... long ago!
