Sorry for the long absence, my off-season has officially ended. Very Happy

...I just had a video shot of me playing "Song Of Old Hawaii" which gave my Georgeboard's Blackburst some much needed usage at a recent cocktail hour.

Hope you enjoy, all comments are welcome and encouraged!

Very nice, Josh! I really enjoyed watching that. You have a very positive demeanor when you play, and that's a good thing. Smiles go a long way in the music business! A lot of steel players stare at their strings and do not relate to the audience at all, and that's a turn off, in my opinion. People want to see the musicians enjoying themselves! Smile

One minor thing I noticed... your guitar looks a little low, in my opinion... you seem to be reaching down, even bending your knees sometimes. Maybe it's just a matter of preference, but it looks like the guitar should be a little higher. Overall a very nice clip, great job!

Mahalo Doug and Andy, You guys rule! Thanks for the kind words.

Doug, you're right the 'George' was a little low that night. (It was my "road manager's" first day on the job!! Laughing)

It's such a rush to be able to play for others and share music in a positive vibe.

Josh,

The Song of Old Hawaii is such a nice classic Hawaiian song. Mahalo for sharing it.

What tuning are you using?

I like to play that particular song in C#m7 which seems to give it a nice old Hawaiian sound.

Aloha no, Smile

Don,

Thanks for your comments. I'm using C6 for this performance, with the song in the key of F.

Thanks again for your comments!

Josh
