Chuck, David`s dad came and set up at one of Jeff Newmans teaching shows in Tocoma wa. And showed everyone he didn`t just build-um he could play-um Newman just sat back and smiled and let him go.Dave i am glad you are keeping your dads great talent alive.

Wow David this Sierra seems to be the transition between the Wright Customs and the Sierra Guitars. Just a thought.David Wright wrote:Found this picture, it is the Very First Sierra ever built, in Proberta ca....1960... FYI for those Sierra Owners...)))

Early sierra
Yep, that's it. Glad you were able to get the picture. I was not able to upload with my I pad. Sonny Walton rewound to specs one of the pickups that was not working & I was able to find a few of the string holders at the hardware that needed to be replaced. I striped the top & just used a wipe on finish. I know the make shift under carage is not orignial but it works well. Todd Chinesmith listed it hare a few mouths ago.

Well, I’m not worthy of it but here is number 16. This D10 is assessed to have been built between 1960 and 1962. The machinery on the C6 is sound, but the E9 needs some work. I’m hesitant to start messing around with the old airplane parts that comprise all the action underneath. Does anyone have experience working with these?
For the curious, it’s a beast. Quite heavy.
