Hey Phil, man it's good to see your old ugly mug on the forum :-) I hope lifew is treating you great. I just stumbled onto this post searching for Denny Fast's post LOL! Phil is one of those players that has never got the recognition that he deserves. (IMHO) As far a paying his dues, he has been there and back. A great picker and a great guy. The old orange bud is one of the best sounding guitars I have ever sat down behind. When Phil got that guitar it was so gummed up that you could lower the Es and they would just stay lowered.
I'm sure Phil remembers...I completely disassembled the guitar and cleaned every part and reassembled it.
I don't think he was sure it would ever work again. :D
