Check your local Public Radio station for this week's "Studio 360". The theme is American West and one segment is on steel guitar. The website has links to Scotty's, PSGA and......The Steel Guitar Forum.

Obviously they have an insider as a consultant. Anyone here guilty?

David Krasnow, the producer at NPR, saw Forumite Bill Stafford's credits on the My Own Private Idaho movie and called Him from NY to set up the interview. He gave him all the info about the steel guitar associations, ST. Louis, Saluda, etc that are happening all over the USA.

So I guess Our own Mr Stafford is the insider and a better representative of the Steel Guitar couldn't be found anywhere. Listening to the closing of the show and Bill playing Home on The Range with Such Tone and Command of his instrument is a positive and dignified represesntaion of what the PSG can sound like.

Congratulations to My long time friend Bill on a terrific interview and insight of some of the history of steel guitar
