Williams 400 series D10 8x5 Natural Birdseye

Post by Dick Wood »

This guitar is in excellent shape but it is a working guitar so it will smell smokey but could be cleaned.I would rate it 9 out of 10.

Emmons setup up with BL710's

Levers
LKL E-F
LKR raises 1,2 & 7
VKL 6 split
RKL lowers 4&8
RKR lowers 2 & 7 (no 9th lower)

Only reason I'm selling is there is a Sunburst Williams I want here on the forum.

Price new was $4200.00 and I would feel $3000.00 would be a fair price plus shipping.

I'm working on a picture.

Dick,
How much does the Williams weigh compared to other steels like a Mullen? I have heard they are very light, but I'd like to hear from an owner. How easy is it to change the copedent; some steels are harder than others.

Hi Jim,

Out of the case is 36lbs and I guess the case weighs around 20lbs so about 56 total. The guitar has a very sturdy feel and isn't light enough to slip and slide on the stage while you're playing. I would not consider it a light steel at all.

It's probably one of the easiest to change I've seen. To take the rod off you simply pull back a small keeper spring and the rod comes off the puller.

The puller has one screw you remove where it will slip easily off the cross shaft for repositioning.

I change pulls occasionally and it's very quick and easy.

Well hey Tator,

If you take a wad of cash and rub it,it should come loose.

You've been pretty quite lately,I hope that means you been playing a bunch.
