Denver Steel Guitar Show May 16
Dick Meis asked me to post some information about the next Denver Steel Guitar Show which will be held at the Grizzly Rose on Sunday, May 16. Some of the previous players have included Dick Meis, Chuck Lettes, Daniel Jones, Billy Van Kueren, Bob Case, Tom Broderick, Del Mullen, Glen Taylor, Ronnie Miller, and Ernie Martinez. The show will start at 11AM and continue until 6PM. Located at 5459 North Valley Highway, the Grizzly Rose (303-295-1330) is a large venue with a big stage. Dick Meis can be contacted at 1-877-380-1010. I'll list some of this year's players and times as the information becomes available.

Yepper: I plan to be there myself along with some of the band members I play with. AND I'm from Pueblo myself. I No Donny and Wanda well, as a matter of fact, Donny is the one that got me interested in the steel guitar in the first place or I would still be bagging on my tele trying to figure out Brent Mason stuff. Now it's worse, trying to figure out his buddy, Paul Franklin stuff. Donny Duncan is a first class steel player. He has played with some big names over the last several years. Look forward to being there. Dick M. is a first class steel player and a first class person of course along with his lovely wife.

A bump for Dick.
What is the name of the player at the 2002 show who played toward the end of the show with 3 ft long chords on the C6 neck? I recall him to be an older gentleman and I think his guitar was green. I just can't remember his name.
