My first recording session,,,, in Nashville!!!!!

Post by Austin Tripp »

Im in Nashville 'bout to record a song. The goup im with signed with Mega-Fidelity records and we are about to record our first single "thinking outside the box" at 9:30 this morning. We are going to the "new" RCA Studio B to record it. The song will be on country radio by May 31 and the CD will be in walmart by June 6. After the recording session we are going to play around in Nashville and then we are going to Bobbe Seymore's steel guitar Nashville where I will probably stay for the rest of the weekend ( but dont tell Bobbe that because he will lock the doors before we get there. I will post pictures Tuesday when i get back home. Thanks everyone and I just may have to do this for a living. By the way, this is my first time to Nashville so someone give me some suggestions on hot spots to go see.

Congrats Austin.......what a great experience. Just about anywhere in Nashville is a good time, but the guys in the studio can point you to the most current hot spots. Hit the Opry backstage if you can, you might get a chance to meet a couple of legends there as well.

I might be a beginner now, but someday I'm gonna steel the show.

Hey Bernie, The session was wonderful, I dont know about the producers though, there,,,,,,strange :\
But it was great, it took us all day to record it and mix it but we got er' done. I stopped by Steel guitar Nashville on Monday and Bobbe Seymour is amazing!! I would have stayed all day, but unfortunatly he had work. But I had lots of fun in Nashville. If I dont get in trouble, I will post the song we recorded later tonight.

I just returned home from spending the last five days there. If you are going to hang around thru next week you definitely should hit the Nashville Palace for Wednesday Western Swing Night with Carolyn Martin and the Western Swingers. Chris Scruggs is the steel player and a young man that you definitely will want to meet. It is right across the street from the Opryland Hotel (walking distance). Buddy Spicher is on fiddle and Ranger Doug Green was in the audience last Wednesday. You never know who will show up to listen to these guys as they are some of the best Nashville has when it comes to real country and swing sounds. Keep chasing that dream, buddy!
