Ain't no doubt there are some players in that group. Two hours isn't a whole lot of time, but with those guys, no doubt they can play it all in that amount of time. Anything they might skip probably wouldn't be worth listening to anyway. Image

Hmmmm, If I leave now I could be there by 9:30 PM. Image, but one speeding ticket and I would be late. Image
[This message was edited by John Floyd on 16 March 2004 at 06:05 AM.]

Listing those guys' names after typing "The Players" really is redundant, isn't it? :-)

I'll be there... I need a dose of inspiration from Paul. I just hope it doesn't turn into the desire to go home and set fire to my guitar.

I saw the guys play this gig a couple of years back, and it was one of the best gigs I ever saw!

I wish I could get there today (what a great Birthday THAT would make it), but I can't.

Many thanks, Theresa, for keeping us informed - are there to be more appearances in the future? I mean to get a seat right in front of Paul next time.....

David,
"Catchy" with that "In Paul we Trust"
ONLY a STEEL PLAYER driving seeing THAT on a Bumber Sticker would know the WHOLE secret behind that one......Every Paul In the World would have ?????? in his head.
I have a cool collection of Steel guitar Bumper stickes, and I only have ONE of these, so, I'm NOT about to "Stick-it" on that piece of Junk I call a pick up Truck, But, It IS Image though. It says:
"BUDDY EMMONS FOR PRESIDENT"
NEVER had faith in the "System," But, With Buddy fighting those Two "Clowns" that's Runnin' for the November Election, I think We ALL would FREAK OUT Counting ALL them Folks who PLAY Steel, OWN ONE, Players in EVERY Group; Beginners, Intermediats, Advanced, And, Of COURSE, ALL of Robert Randolphs' "Groupies." Damn, That's a LOT of People,WoW. And, who said that Steel Guitar is a Vanishing Dinasour? "Newbies" of EVERY KIND that we NEVER KNEW or heard of would be "Migrating" to the 'Ol U. S. of A.
Just so they could vote for the "Big E." Image

I've been to see Paul and the gang several times over the past few years, and I never cease to be amazed at their individual and collective musicianship.

Quite frankly, I "think" I comprehend how good Paul is, but there are times that I'm not even sure I do grasp it. He is so humble, and such a nice guy on top of it. He always takes time to answer questions (boy do I ask some stupid questions!).

Paul, you have been and continue to be such an inspiration to me. Fortunately, I have fought off the urge to set fire to my guitar this morning...

Sincerely,

David Spires
