There are a couple for sale on the forum. Some of them have pics of the undercarriage.Just copy the pictures in to paint and voila.
You can enhance them in paint.

Check the technical support section of the Carter website. There is a very good animated view of how a Sho-Bud changer works in the PSG illustrated section. |

This is what I needed, thanks a lot. My problem was that 4 and 8 lowers are not working right. The lowers are bringing the raises with them cancelling each other. I just could not see how they work without tearing into the changer. thanks again. winston may |

Yes Winston; no prob.
That is exactly what is happening..as that top piece is getting stuck; when lower bar is trying to push...as it's hitting that groove that's wore in there.....then the lower will not happen alone...the raise will come with it...and hence "LOWERING" Problem.
Take those fingers out....and use the fingers that have the less amount of wear on that top piece where that lower arm pushes it.....and use those better fingers in the positions that raise and lower a string; or have to lower a string a whole tone. Or/and try bending that fulcrom piece in some...so it hits a better spot on that top piece.
Or replace them all with the Coop Super finger that fits your particular steel....and be done with it...and you'll also find a sound of your guitar that you never knew...ah...ha.

Here's my testimonial: I sent Coop's the tailpiece from my 80's Pro l and he installed his changer and… MAN! What a difference! So smooth and reliable. The way, way, way to go! |
