Steel guitar master Clyde Mattocks will be performing with his group "Without Further Ado" at the Ice House Theatre in Selma, NC this Friday night; showtime is 7:45 p.m. For full details or reservations: www.countrytonightmusicshow.com or call 252-237-6199. Your whole family would enjoy this show, plus you will hear some great steel and dobro. In fact, when Clyde plays there, you might mistaken this for a steel convention with all the steelers in the audience! Most agree is could be called a steel guitar seminar!!! Hope to see a lot of my fellow steelers there!! _________________ Emmons LeGrande II D-10, Emmons LeGrande III D-10, Emmons LeGrande III S10, Boss Katana 100, Boss Katana 50, Nashville 112

I doubt you've ever actually heard him, Billy. It's always past your bedtime when he plays! _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Fender Twin Tone Master, Session 400, Harlow Dobro, R.Q.Jones Dobro |

Clyde, for the Ice House crowd, there is no such thing as too much steel!! We are just trying to use some of that steel up that a lot of producers try to hide in Nashville. Our crowd loves the steel guitar!
I recently played at a festival, and had the country radio announcer walk on the stage to introduce our band. He stopped at me and asks me "Is that a steel guitar?" When I told him yes, he asked me if I was going to play it. I stopped short of saying "Naw, just got some ironing to do; here's your sign." Its a sad state of affairs when country DJ's are hard pressed to recognize or know what a steel guitar is.
I guess we should be thankful that enough of the good producers are using them, even in limited amounts. That is due more to the style of music they produce I suspect, rather than a direct snub.
Look forward to hearing you tonight as always, Clyde. You represent real steel guitar proudly!! _________________ Emmons LeGrande II D-10, Emmons LeGrande III D-10, Emmons LeGrande III S10, Boss Katana 100, Boss Katana 50, Nashville 112
