Mary and I will arrive on Friday and will set up a display with some new items for you to look at. I know the staff band is always top drawer and I'm anxious to pick with my good friend Roger Miller. See you there. Scotty

R &R this weekend
Is everybody ready for some R&R this weekend?
two russ's is the same building, wow i hope this hall is big enough. for the talent that is.
this year im tryin' something different, were not doing the round robin so much as a come in and sign in, and if you want to jam, with other guys or put something together, go for it...no rules here..
should be a hoot. i cant wait to see all my old friends, and make some new ones.
ya never know what russ hicks has up his sleve, and
russ wever just knocked me out last year in the jazz room at scottys..dont forget people this year we have a hall of famer, and the man who is responsible for it all. (SCOTTY) from st.louis coming.
he'll have plenty of learning meterial, and listening too.. see ya all soon

Bruce, Tom and Tom, scarey lineup this year! I feel like an Oreo sandwich cookie, 'cept I'm the cookie with the ham salad center. Mark on one side and Dale on the other. I'll locate the poop-a-seat and fill'er up.
Since I mention fill, is Phil bringing that knocked out Missouri band with him again? If so, Phil, don't forget to bring an extra box of those CD's this time! "ByGod" would have been at this one for sure.

Just a couple more days and I'll be heading that way...the cats out of the bag here in Knashville so I may as well let you know who my special guest is....he's a youngun' who plays a lot of steel (and fiddle)...his name is Robert Rogers and if you haven't heard him you're in for a treat...we've worked up a few duets; you know how I like the twin steels. I'm also excited about the 'boys in the band'...to coin a Charlie McCoy phrase 'them dawgs can hunt'.
See ya'll soon.

The Friday night jam sounds like it's going to be a hoot too.

Is anyone attending that can do a little work on a steel? I've been struggling for several months to get the pedal/knee levers adjusted and tuned and perhaps my mechanical ability is not what it should be. The right skill set might take less than an hour to do what I've been trying for months and I wouldn't expect anyone to do this for free. E-mail me if interested (it's a Wilcox SD-10, 3 and 4).
