FS Oahu Iolana D6 project and a lap steel case
Fender style guitar case for a lap steel. I also used it for a while with my electric mandolin.
I bought it new several years ago from Musicians Friend. I don't know if they carry them any longer.
The inside dimensions are
32.50" x 12.50" x 3.50"
It also has a small compartment for picks, cord, bar, etc.
$100 shipped CONUS only.
Lap steel not included.
Early 50's Oahu Iolana. This is a project guitar for someone who likes to tinker.
The pickup magnets and top plates are missing so there is very little to no output when plugged in.
The plastic pickup covers are included but one has been broken and glued back together.
Check my "Profile" and click back to one of my first posts. There is some info from Rick Aiello and a couple of others about possible pickup solutions.
It comes with the original case which is in decent condition for being almost 60 years old. All the latches work. Structurally sound.
Sold as is for someone who has the time and know how to bring it back to life.
$125 shipped CONUS only.

apology
I did not intend to indicate that this was a done deal, my bad, I meant only to convey my enthusiasm as I had amazingly aquired a basket case double neck [heavily trashed] supro at a flea market that has the needed parts on Saturday. That being said did/do I get to buy the Iolana and resurrect her, please. regards rob

tuner butons
hi. Stew-mac sells a variety of replacement buttons and several threads here describe the fix. I have good luck with drilling out the holes [in reverse] using friction to melt the plastic and squeezing them on immediately. I did about 20 yesterday so I am stocked with spares. regards rob

Iolana
hello john I am trying to buy your Iolana double neck so I can use my newly aquired plates and magnets. I know your out there somewhere, I am just looking for a response. I will send paypal or postal money order as soon as I hear back. Pardon my enthusiasm, I thought the timing of events indicated a cosmic coincidence that I dare not disregard, you know like a chain letter or even more serious.
