Forumite Russ Rickman will be playing with Kevin Black at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Bar-B-Que cook-off on Friday, 2/27. Yours Truly will have the steel chair with Kevin on Sat. 2/28.

If you're in the Houston area this week, come out and say "howdy".

Hey JC,
Are you playing in a tent for one of the cook-off teams? If so which one? I will be there all weekend. I am not sure yet which tent I will be in.

I found out that I am playing in the Consys (sp?) tent, so y'all stop by and see me if you can.

Hey Earl, I didn't get a chance to speak with you the other night at Mo's before you left, but you sure sounded good on guitar, vocals, and steel that night. Thanks for sitting in. It was a pleasure having you.

I played at the Cold Creek Cattle Co. #217 on Wednesday night with Sixgun. It was cold with the wind whipping at about 20 knots. The propane heaters were nice until you walked away from them. WE went on stage at 7pm and the food was late being served. By the time we got to our break, most of the food was gone. I did get to taste a small cube of the best piece of steak I've ever sunk my chops into. About that time I was wishing I had a sign to read "Will play for food".
