"Ave Maria" ---A Bonus Tab For April
I have a gift for my Catholic brothers and sisters this month. I have tabbed out "Ave Maria" for the E9th pedal tuning and it is yours for the asking.
I hope that I have done it justice.
I tried my best.
My guitar instructor, of many years ago, was raised in a Catholic orphanage. His favorite song to play on a lap steel was "Ave Maria" and he would have given anything if I would have learned it way back then.
Better late than never.
You'll have to try it and let me know what you think.
It might not be possible for a Baptist to do a decent version of this song but I gave it my best shot.
PS: If I haven't sent you tab before, I'll need your postal mailing address.

Request for Easter Tab Files
Dear Erv,
Please do send me a copy! Thanks for this gift too. Your continuing stream of free tabs is a great blessing.
Although I like your ecumenical spirit, many who are not Catholic can also enjoy Ave Maria. I'm an Episcopalian, but I love this music.
Could you also, please, add "I Will Glory in the Cross," which was in your other post? I think maybe I should get your "Tabs 'n Tracks" CD's of Gospel songs. You already have my address, I believe, and I have yours, so I'll try to raise the money.
I've been working on the tune "Hyfrydol," which you have done as "Love Divine, All Loves Excelling." That's maybe my favorite for Easter.
Wishing you the best holy day, with gratitude,
John
