I lost the bug - Stage One Pedal Steel (like new) for sale

Post by Daniel Davis »

As some of you may remember, I recently (about 8 months ago) had a nice Stage One Pedal Steel built for me. At the time, I wasn't playing much music, so I thought that I would have time to learn it, and love it.

Well, shortly after receiving the guitar, I joined a band (as a bass player) and started another electronic-music project that is doing pretty well right now.

Needless to say, I have hardly touched the PSG.

:(

And I doubt I will.

The guitar is in like-new condition, with adjustable legs, a nice hard case, PLUS I have some pics, extra strings, a chromatic tuner, a chord chart, and the Jeff Newman beginner's course (the PSG 101 course with the Right Hand Alpha and Techniques courses).

This is a beginner's model, so the copedent is set to a standard E9 tuning.

I'd like to get $1000 for everything - that's basically like getting all the extra stuff for free.

It's a red guitar, and I'll post some pictures later. It's just been sitting, practically untouched, in my home studio (smoke free).

I'd also be up for trading, as all of the $ I ever make on selling gear is ALWAYS invested in other gear.

Right now I am looking for:

1. An electric fretless bass
2. A lap steel guitar
3. analog synths/digital keyboards

Alright - that's all for now. Just post here, PM me, or e-mail me @

Give up!

Post by David Kellogg »

Man just listen to yourself Daniel, if I was your dad i'd send you to your room. Giving up the pedal steel is like giving up on life. Yesterday the pedal steel, today the base, tomorrow the accordian maybe. You will someday say to yourself "where did I make the wrong turn in my life?" then you will realise it was the day you decided to give up the pedal steel. From that day on your life just seemed to never amount to anything, every choice you made was the wrong one. Is this making any sense man? Don't make me come up there, I'm only in Portland and if I have to I will hunt you down and bust your bass, well not really as that would take away from my PRACTICING THE PEDAL STEEL.

David
You misspelled THREE words... base (bass), accordian (accordion), and realise (realize).

Keep your penny, though. It would kick me into a higher tax bracket.
My rig: Infinity and Telonics.

Son, we live in a world with walls, and those walls have to be guarded by men with steel guitars. Who's gonna do it? You? You, Lt. Weinberg?

lost the bug

Hey Herb; I caught all three of them too. Not bad for an old phart that can't spell his mane sometimes, huh. :) :) . I might be interested in an even swap for the black Steel Gitfiddle I had is Dallas. It's one of only 3 in the world. I know because I'm the Builder. Wayne Cox was the sugtestor(sic)Designer. Been askin' $1200.00 for it. Wayne owns-plays no.1, this is no.2. No3 has a small crack I haven't had time to fix. All three are 10 string no pedals. the 2 blonds are 25in scale. the black is 24in. 25s won't go up to G# on top no matter what guage string you try. 24s will.
If your interested in the trade, PM me thru the forum. Andy H.
