Jimmy Duvall from up state New York plays with Ghost Riders, Got my E-mail from the forum and wrote I will be in Fl. and would like to gig with you while there. We made contact by phone at his Brothers house in Ocala Fl. 75 miles from Lake City, Nan and I went there and picked him up and brought him home. We giged at three places, Thur. nite Senior Cit. Club in Valdosta, Jimmy put on A SHOW and they loved him right off.
Fri. nite in Quitman a lot of the same people showed up and fell in love with him right off. Some of our regulars came over to me and said ( you have adopted another son), This is the same way we met WAYNE BAKER, we adopted him also and wish for his safe return in March.
Nan asked me if we should be aware of bringing unknown people into our home, I said "I have not met a bad Steel guitar player yet" It takes a special person to play this thing we love. Jimmy we love you and wish for your return anytime. We had a ball while you were here.
If you get a chance to see him perform do so he is a scream. He does not just play steel he lives it.

Ernest, you ARE my best friend and I'm certainly a better man for having the honor to know and pick with you.

This instument we have been given, this "Steel Guitar Forum", it is a great thing. It is truely invaluable. Through it I have met great friends, became a way better picker. I've talked to people like Paul Franklin, I've played on the same stage as Don Sulesky.... incredible.

Hi Ernest,
I just want to say that Jimmy Duvall is a very good friend of mine. We've known each other for better than 20 years. I played bass in a band we had back then. Jimmy was our steel player. He may be a little crazy !!!!! if you know what i mean. But he is perfectly harmless. In fact, Jimmy is really the one that got me interested in the PSG.I always wanted to play, but i am a lefty. Finally 3 years ago ,i had a left handed steel built for me.The first one i called was Jimmy Steel. He is a very gifted and talented player. We get together once in awhile so he can show me some new licks. He'll show you anything for a free lunch ha ha ha !!.He lives about 15 miles from me.He is always willing to show anybody anything they want to know about the PSG.We played alot of gigs together over the years, and i can honestly say i never saw him get mad. You're right! he lives his life for that old Sho-bud of his. He'll always have that big grin from ear to ear. If you are going to be at the Dallas show Ernest? Look me up. I would like to meet you. I don't know if Jimmy is going to go Yet
Keep Steelin !!!!
