Theme song music from "Late Late Show" with Craig Ferguson. Anything he says after that is pathetic....

Rodney Atkin's new single is a sound alittle, "Born in the U.S.A".
Not a fan of Rodney's songs.

I've been waiting for someone to mention "Run, Joey Run" by David Geddes. You don't hear it any more, thankfully, but it was a hit in 1975.

Oh my God Doug, her and Minnie Ripperton. I remember when my my mom and dad was alive, Kitty Wells, Amigos Guitar. Anytime that song was played, and mother heard it, she would turn of the radio. She couldn't deal with AYE YI!

That's a grate list, Craig! There are some real stinkers in there. I do like "Tequila" though, and I play it often on my guitar gigs. "Vincent" and "Theme From Love Story" make me grit my teeth and reach for the dial!

Our 8 year old son has recently discovered Michael Jackson on youtube and plays "Beat It" constantly...Ugh.

I never realized how may time "yoo-ooo" was overdubbed on that "piece"...

I do hope these lists don't become law. I like quite a few of them. And I suspect detractors have a grudging respect, too. My most hated song;

What a load of pish!

Hi-jacked a good tune and spoiled a nice sentiment for some.

Arch.

When I was a kid in the '50s, a woman with a high voice (Joan Weber?) had a song that went "Let me go, let me go, let me go, lover." I used to scream, cover my ears, and run out of the room when it came on the radio. Years later, Hank Snow recorded it. His version was slightly less horrible.

Tommy S, my band covers rehab, to me that is a very funky tune, Amy W. is sure a mess, but man, that girl can sing!
Another one I hear every day at work and cover my ears is a new version of Sam Cooks' Cupid that is just AWFUL! JP

Tommy I have had to play and hear Sweet Home for over 30 years. When the boys did it I thought it was great. But now years later when Skynrd is requested it is either Sweet Home or Free Bird. I am so sick of hearing either one played badly with never ending guitar solos. Also we have an oldies station up here and those seem to be the only Skynrd songs in their music library. Please though don't start the Yankee slamming.

Yes, endless, mindless guitar solos are so "old school" and so b-o-r-i-n-g! It's not just Sweet Home Alabama... it's Many songs from that era... Down By the River (Neil Young), Heard It Through the Grapevine (CCR), In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida (Iron Butterfly), etc. I really liked the Allman Bros. back in the day, but today when I hear some of those three minute solos... I just can't sit and listen to that anymore.

Craig I wasn't going to do any Yankee slamming, I'm sorry you took it that way my friend. I was trying to inject some levity into the situation. Have a goodurn and git-r-done.

Jim, I like the melody to the song, I just don't care much for the lyrics. The lyrics repeat over and over and over. True Amy W. can sing, but she needs to find material where the lyrics do not repeat.
That's all JP
