Wiz, I have some sort of a bug here...
Take for example when I tried to play Greg Cutshaw's
tunes here:
http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=154744
...all I got was a blank screen in Firefox and the tunes would not play.
No player appeared. The only thing I can think of that I have changed lately, that would have any affect on this, is that I updated my VLC Media Player. I think when it installed, it took over as the default player automatically. If this is the problem, how do I switch the VLC off of default? |

Whenever I try to play a link like that my default player opens but never plays, so I close the player then right-click on the link and select Save Target which downloads the file which, after saving, does play on that same player from off of the hard drive. Other suggestions you may have tried; Does your player have an options setup section with a long list of file types which you can check or uncheck? Try unchecking them all to see if the former player takes back over; Try a System Restore back to a date before the new update (if your O.S. has that). Seems like I've seen 'set your default player' somewhere but where I dunno. |

Bent;
WMA files open a new Windows Media Player window and should autoplay in it. WMA files do not play in your browser. If they attempt to do so some association is wrong. Open your browser's options and see that ".wma" files "Open" in Windows Media Player. Then set your WMA options to autoplay files as they load. _________________ "Wiz" Feinberg, Moderator SGF Computers Forum
