Adair and Fred,
By chance my wife and I turned up at the Station Inn just as it opened, so I had a chance to watch Paul set up and more importantly tune up. I'm sure his talked about this before, but Paul tunes by ear. It was watching him do this I found interesting. During a quick chat we had he suggested I should try it. I have to say it took several weeks for me to gain confidence that my tuning was right, if there is such a thing! But having done one or two recording jobs, I've really started to notice the difference.

Help! Liner Notes
Being a 21st century kind of guy (and needing instant gratification) I downloaded from CD baby. It came with a jpg of the cover and a track list.
Any other liner notes available? I'd be forever in _anyone's_ debt if I could get a scanned copy of said notes..
It would make my listening experience perfect.

Paul, thanks so much for posting this on the Forum, and especially for putting Dave up on the TSGA stage for all to hear and enjoy. Twice!
He is an amazing performer, and a true throwback to the golden era of country music. This is something that is sadly few and far between these days.
The CD hasn't left my player since I brought it home from Dallas. What an excellent set of obscure, well chosen and recorded tunes it is. Your playing, along with Buddy's and John's, is magnificent.
Can you bring Dave back next year? Thanks again!

For those who missed the Dallas show they missed one of the finest arrangements of the Darrell McCall song, "I'll Break Out Tonight". David Peterson did a fantastic job singing that song along with Paul on steel.
Don't want to leave out another great song and that was Jimmy Rogers Blue Yolder #11. Between Pauls playing and the voice of David Peterson that song has never been performed better anywhere.
Looking forward to the next CD.

Just a note of thanks to Paul and family for the great hospitality at Dallas. What a joy it was to meet everyone and play some great music with Paul and Mike Auldridge. A big thanks to all involved with the event for the great kindness at your event.
Paul, you are the greatest, and I'll say it again - one of the best musicians I've ever played with. Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

Dave and Paul
What a knock-out punch at the Dallas show. Also, two of the most gracious, friendly, humble, and genuine down to earth guys you will ever meet.
For me, the Dallas show re-charges my musical batteries. It washes away all the mediocre gigs that I walk away from thinking to myself "why do I do this?" It reminds me of my passion for music, and I am reminded why I do what I do.
I tried to relate those very thoughts to Paul, as to how much I enjoyed him and Dave, and what it meant to me.
Powerfull Stuff.

Listening to Dave Peterson with Paul Franklin was the Dallas highlight for me. All the artists were great, but I was impressed with Chuck Back on guitar, Steel and vocals,Buck Reid, and all the musicians that contributed to the backing band. I am also convinced that Paul Franklin is an Alien. His playing is from a different planet.
