For two days now, I have not been able to send an e mail to anyone using Hotmail. When I notify Suddenlink, I get form letters(e mail) stating they are aware of the problem and are working to resolve it. The latest notification states "Apparently
Hotmail has "blacklisted e mail from Suddenlink's
domain" and they have no estimate of when this will be resolved. Anyone know what this is about? _________________ LeGrande II, Nash. 112, Fender Twin Tone Master, Session 400, Harlow Dobro, R.Q.Jones Dobro |

Clyde, you might be waiting a while. Spam blocklists can be hard for an ISP to get off of. If reaching your hotmail contacts is important then I suggest that you fire up a free email account like gmail, yahoo or hotmail. |

When SpamCop blacklists and IP address, or CIDR, belonging to an ISP, it only remains on the list for 24 hours, unless more spam is received. It remains blacklisted until no more spam is received for 24 hours. Some ISPs that are repeat offenders may have a longer waiting period.
I have reported many spam messages that came from SuddenLink mail servers, including numerous Nigerian 419 scams. I am a reporting member of SpamCop and am involved in International anti-spam efforts and website security. _________________ "Wiz" Feinberg, Moderator SGF Computers Forum

I learned something from this exchange. What a great
