Wanted to post this as it's difficult to find ones that do aluminum. Just got my pedal bar back today and it came out looking like a mirror. They are-

Sounds like chromed end plates would be another great idea. That would solve a bunch of cleaning and polishing issues. I'm surprised that it's not more widely used. I have a Mullen, and the end plates appear to be chromed. The pedal bar is bare aluminum, but the end plates appear to be chrome.

The problem with this is that the steel guitar as a whole produces your tone.
By chroming parts like end-plates you will sort of Lock-Up the sound.There will be a total different sound coming out of your steel.
When still building I tried all kinds of end-plate material.
From Aluminum to Brass, chrome the plates...etc etc.
I always came back to aluminum though.
It looks nice but I would not recommend it. |

I play a Zum, and the endplats have a mirror finish. If I'm not mistaken, they are made of aluminum. But instead of being chrome plated, I think they are polished to a mirror finish. I didn't think any steel had chrome plated endplates. I thought they were all polished aluminum.

Mullen has used chrome-plated steel end plate for quite a while. Original MSA Milleniums used chrome-plated aluminum parts including end plates
Carter Limited Edition (LE) guitars also feature chrome-plated aluminum parts (necks, end plates, KLs, and front rails).
These parts do not affect the sound on LE's in any negative way. |

The chrome end plates on my Mullen don't seem to hurt the sound or tone. I don't know what it would be with bare aluminum, but I could hardly stand it if it sounded better. There are extremely positive reviews of the Mullen G2, and it has chromed end plates too. I suppose it can be an added expense that can add to the cost of a PSG, but it's a nice option - and it doesn't tarnish.
