I never met Charlie, But i have talk with him on the phone, And i've played a Derby Steel for the last 4 yrs.Best guitar I'VE OWENED.My thoughts and prayers are with thw Stepp Family Gene Still

I never met the man either, but I have heard his steels. Now is playing for the Master, Our Lord in Heaven. My heart goes out to the Stepp Family at this time. It's a sad day for the steel guitar and steel playing brothers and sisters.God Bless you Charlie you will be missed.
