Konabobs a great soul and his website is THE Big Island hub for info. He also sells a really cool 3 string stick bass made of Koa. I'm a daily reader of the Moving to the Bog Island threads, cuz I'll be moving to the Big Island as soon as possible.

The free 13 page booklet for playing Acoustic Hawaiian Lap Steel is but one example of Kona Bob's
aloha spirit and generosity.
The Hawaiian Steel Guitar Association was another recipient of his generosity when he made arrangements
for 12 members of HSGA to play Hawaiian Steel guitar at the Kona Canoe Club on Hilo Bay in Hawaii.
So there was Hawaiian steel, with some hula dancing thrown in for good measure.
Kona Bob accompanied many of us on his 3 string pole bass. It sounds good too.
Aloha,
Don |

Bob and Shirley are personal friends and they are, as people have said, very generous spirited people. I was talking (Skype assisted)to Bob last week and he had just sold his 200th three stringed bass. The world is a better place for such people being around. |
