Who and where was the picture you posted showing an Epiphone and Gibson Amps. This must have been in the late 30's or early 40's. These were the two premier amps used back then. Fender had not even been thought of. I could not make out what kind of steel was in the picture. Back in this era just about every band had an Accordian in it.

Let me guess, Chas. The first photo (B&W), judging from Chas hair and beard and young appearance, was made in maybe the '70s and given a retro look with the old style cloths, amps, and studio gear, and Chas' Bigsby. The next one looks like many of the same people and gear in a more recent photo, maybe '90s. I'm not making any guesses about the the third photo.

Barry, they are Vintage inspired, all brand new items.

Rick, thanks for the mention.

If you're into shirts, I carry the latest greatest along with some new old stock. If I don't have it, it's probably not available.

Billy and David, the B&W was taken late '80s at Electrovox Studio, on Melrose, in Hollywood. The color was taken sometime in the '90s at the Autry Museum. The band was the Radio Ranch Straight Shooters and I was playing a T-10 non-pedal Bigsby then later a S-10 pedal Bigsby. That Gibson amp sounds as good as you think it does. The Epiphone was/is Paul Greenstein's, he was the leader.

I've been around so long, that, all my old "Hollywood", "Double Bar H", "Rockmount", "H bar C",and "Miller" shirts are in vogue again.
Hooda thunk it! I won't include the Panhandle Slim's or the Shepler's or the Larry Mahan's. They're too new to be classics.

OK - so the last 3 aren't "western" -- I just got carried away, but I'll stop now.

Around 2004,2005 & 2006 when I was playing with Sammy Nasters we had a yearly gig playing for the "Single Shot Rifle Assn." in a tent on the Santa Ana River Bottom in Corona Calif. This was where they used rifles from the 1800.s and dressed in the Western Attire for that era. They lookded like the Earp's from the O.K. Corral. Well the band all wore nice Western shirts from the present day and did we feel out of place. Some of the clothes the Rifle Club wore were not fancy decorated but cost thousands of dollars.

Yes Jussi, good eye there!
I didn't think people would recognize him, particularly on the Steel Guitar Forum, as he hasn't looked like that for quite some time now, and now that I think of it, neither have I. My hair was not as thick, but just as long, you just can't see it because it was behind me. My wife calls this picture "the hair gods" I have another very similar picture that's actually better but it's hanging up on the wall, I guess I'll have to take it out of the frame and scan it. The picture was taken in June of 1972 after a concert where we opened up for Leon Russell.

Marc, is that Dave Blasucci standing behind you in the picture where you are playing the black S-10 MSA? What are the circumstances of that occasion?
