There's a nice new CD out on the Sundazed label, featuring 1953 radio transcriptions with the Billy Liebert Band swinging behind Ernie. There's some nice work--mostly backup and section; a few brief solos-- from Speedy West. (Speedy's playing here is quite a bit more laid back than on the sessions with Jimmy Bryant.)
The sound quality is amazing, capturing the sound and vibe of an era. A fun listen for fans of that time and place in Hollywood western music.

That sounds like a winner, Kevin, thanx for the info.

Another cool on is - Let's Have A Party For The Old Folks, on Jasmine from about 10 years back. Live cuts from TEF's TV show w/Speedy, a few w/Bryant, and the bunch backed by an all-star line-up.
Many cuts show Speedy far from his normal wild self, playing so sweetly...
