Pedal Steel (Cool Tips, Chords, and Hot Licks)

Post by Andy Sandoval »

I bought this cool little booklet at a music store back in the early 80's and thought I'd lost it untill I went through all my music stuff recently and it turned up. I remember thinkin how cool it was and how much info there was when I bought it. Anyone ever seen this little publication before? I believe it was printed in the mid 70's.

Sorry guys, I thought this publication was no longer in print and got ahead of myself.

Update: I finally got a hold of Ron Middlebrook and he informed me that although this info packed little booklet is not listed on their website it is on their price list and still available.

Ron says, "It's a cool little thing i did many years ago to help me and we've sold lots of them."

"We sell it for $4.95 plus 2 for postage". "The forum members can get it right from us at Centerstream Publishing LLC, P.O. Box 17878 Anaheim Hills, CA 92817"

Tips and tricks!

I had one of those soon after I started playing. Let it get away at some point. A lot of info in a few pages. Nice to see it again and know a few have survived...ds

Man, If you guys like this so well you will probably LOVE Mickey Adams New Book he is just finishing. It should probably be the best book ever written from the way it sounds. He just put a post on about it recently. I cant wait to get it. I'm not pickin quite like John Hughey yet so i need a little more help. I'm laughing like you are. I think he said he hopes to have it at the Dallas show. I have a feeling he's gonna get right to the point. He also said it will have a DVD If i'm not mistaken. Someone can clear me up and make sure i got this right.

Thanks,

Gary Steele

I believe that Ron Middlebrook's publishing company, Centerstream, still has this in their catalog. I'm no lawyer, but I wouldn't be photo-copying and distributing it.

Ron is a Forum member, and I sell two Centerstream titles in the Forum catalog - Andy Volk's lap steel book and Jerry Byrd's autobiography.
