i just purchased a nashville 112 and was looking to get a real clean sound out of it any hints? everything i am trying seems real muddy to me.. i have a dd7 delay, and a boss eq pedal to work with i'm open to pointers on how to get a clean sound.. maybe my ears are going on me lol..

| Jeff, you'll want to be sure to get the speaker broken in good, also. The amp will sound different once that happens. Try playing your CD player through it all day while you're at work! |

thanks guys i appreciate it i gotta play day after tomorrow so i was looking for the clean sound like buddy gets on his youtube videos that's what i'm looking for didn't dawn on me about breaking speaker in i knew that just wasn't thinking

| I don't think you can ever get a real clean sound from the 112. You can get a real good sound but to get a really tight really clean sound, you'll need a more powerful amp, at least that's what I found with my Carter with George L humbuckers. It might be different with a lower output single coil, type of volume pedal etc. |

Make sure that the Master Gain is a lot higher than the Pre Gain.
If you are using a passive volume pedal, try hooking up like this:
Steel guitar to Boss EQ input
Boss EQ output to amp input (low gain input might help for a cleaner tone but in a gig situation you may need to use the high gain input)
Pre EQ Send to volume pedal input
Volume pedal output to DD7 delay input
DD7 output to Pre EQ Return
Set the Boss EQ flat initially, whilst setting the amp to Michael Douchette recommendations.
Don't alter the Boss EQ settings until you have got the best that you can out of the amp, and need to scoop the mids slightly. |

I respectfully suggest that you work on your sound first with only your guitar, volume-pedal and 112 Amp. You can add the gadgets later! Try this for a start:
Pre-Gain 3
Low +9dB
Mid –3dB
Shift 1:00
High +7.5dB
Pres. +9dB or +3dB
Rev 3.5
Master 5 in house.
On the job: Pre~Gain 4/5, Master 10

HI JEFF.
I RECEIVED MY STEEL GUITAR BLACK BOX FROM BRAD SARNO A FEW DAYS AGO AND THE DIFFERENCE WAS AMAZING IT REALY DOSE WHAT THEY SAY IT CLEANS UP THE SOUND LIKE

Everyone has their own settings but the key is the mid and frequency (Shift).
With my Franklin
Bass +9
Mid -3
Freq 800Hz
High and Presence about +1 (depends on how new the strings are).
On stage, Pre 4 and Post 6
The addition of the 2134 Op Amp "mod kit" from Ken Fox is also a plus for many. |

Jeff do not be afraid to crank up the mid and frequency knobs. It will brighten the sound and the bass control can still give you the body you need.
I run the mid and freq on full and crank down the mids if I need to.
