Hey Folks:
You have heard a lot on this forum about the great time all of us have at these MASGA events. We give everybody a chance to shine with their talent, whether or not you are just beginning to learn to play, a senior that has been playing for years or you a just a listener. We encourage everybody to come out and have some fun. ED,Skip, and Jimmy are the ones thats going to make it happen. So come out and support all our friends in Fayetteville and help make this jam a reality and a success.
We all would like to see some new faces and some different guitars at the Fayetteville Jam.
Make your plans now to attend and join in on the fun.

Regards

Howdy guys I'm not sure about this show as We will be in Rhode Island at the R.I.Steel Guitar Assoc. meeting and election on November 16th.It is a lot of driving so we will see how Anna feels after the 1700 mile round trip back and forth. We might make it as it might be our last with MASGA as we are getting close to moving back north.Just in time for the snow which I do not mind it is pretty on all the trees.

Just to echo others! This is going to be a good one. We see new faces each time we have an event. Shame on you if you come and don't set up your steel! I learn every time we have an event. Shoe, Jimmy, Skip - I'll be there to help any where you want to place me!

Hi Ken, Just wanted to thank you for all the hard work you do for the assoc,I know you love what you do.Sorry you can't make the jam because of you hunt outing but we'll be thinking about you.My son also is a hunter and has killed three deer in three weeks so have lots of fun.
I would like to thank Glenn Lanning for his work and being a true blue member since the very begining and maybe we will put you to work.
Hope to see everyone at the jam and would also like to see a lot of new steelers as Ken said

HHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMM !! Not sure what to say Ray. I guess while the other guys sit around and wait to play, somebody has got to try to keep things running fairly smooth and believe me it's a long weekend and I know Ken or anyone else who works the mic is beat after a show. You dont really get a chance to relax and think about your set and it looks like I may not get a chance to play.
This is really Ok with me cause my greatest satisfaction comes from meeting new people who enjoy the steel guitar and seeing them and old aquaintences have a good time. If I feel that I can get a cpl tunes in I will and have. Ray I guess you missed Ken and my wonderful performances!
[This message was edited by SKIP MERTZ on 24 October 2003 at 09:43 PM.]

Hey Ray my freind you missed Ken playing at the Fayettville's last Jam because you were out side having a smoke. You know the one I wanted to throw my steel in the pond because I got so ticked off at myself for goofing up. I know how good I play at home and don't you know I go to a jam and get the best Vibrdo out of a volume pedal that anyone can get.Skip played a last years Kanapolis Jam. You did not hear him because you were not there.I will try to talk Anna into going as we will be just getting back from Rhode Island.Ray you are doing fine a lot better since the last time I heard you play a Robert McGees.I hope if I do come I can play a good steel this time with bar Vibrodo instead of Volume pedal. Ha HAAA.Skip buddy I want to hear you play as you play a great steel. OH I ALMOST FOGOT KEN RAY WALKER IS GREAT ON A MIKE.He ran the show at Robert McGee's where he was playing Friday nights when Robert was out with a heart operation.OK Ray I let the cat out of the bag you can take over MC while Ken Plays is'nt that right Ken. HA got you.

Hey Guys:
This is great news! Where has all my relief people been hiding!!!!!! I'am sure glad to hear we have folks qualified, ready and willing to take over part of the day MC'ing and keeping things running. I would have brought my steel to all the Jams if I knew "ahead of time" that I had someone to share my duties. Everyone knows this is an all day task that I do at these Jams!

Thanks Sam for letting the cat out of the Bag

Ray has settled it. I will MC the first half of the show that he performs in and I will turn it over to him to MC the second half that I will play in. I think that is fair don't you guys. I will be bringing my beautiful MARLEN SD-10 and join in at future MASGA Jams now that I have a CO-Partner on the MC Work. Thanks a bunch Ray!!
