Well folks, I ordered the free CD and it came amazingly fast! I would like to make a short report nothing elaborate just a quick overview to let Miss Leslie and her band know how much I enjoyed her singing and their picking! The musician s were as good as any pickers I have ever had the pleasure to pick with or hear. They all played very clean with many parts being played together and very tight I might add.

The production and the arrangments were fantastic and it's been a long time since I've heard a Country CD with more taste and tightness but there was enough freedom involved in this album meaning letting the pickers play and Miss Leslie sing that it reminded me of something from the 60's that could have been heard in one of the big Texas Honky Tonks with sawdust on the floor. The only difference is the newer technology and production capabilities of the new millennium. I have always loved the evolvment of technology but have hated what the new producers have done with it but the producers of this CD let the pickers and singers play like old school pickers with new school technology!

What more can I say it's one of the best CD's I've had the opportunity to listen to in a long time :-) Thanks for the chance Miss Leslie and thanks to the band as well!!!!!

Big Bob

Wow folks; those are some MIGHTY FINE words and very very encouraging to me and Leslie to hear that.
We're glad everyone has gotten their CD and some faster than others....I'm gettin' them stuffed as fast as I can; but I keep runnin' out of this or that...and so it will all get done; thanks for your patience.
Big Bob; that is such a great review and you certainly heard what me and Tommy D. had in mind; as we discussed that very thing before layin' any tracks.
It MUST be recorded in a classic way; but it Cannot sound sonically like it was recorded in 1960; as radio would NEVER play it and we'd never get a chance for airplay. We are getting airplay; but certainly not enough and certainly not mainstream country radio(gag). When you have what they call country(which is really 1975 Rock power ballads and classic rolling stones and led zepplin music) on the airways to convience all the ignorant that it is country; and then you put miss leslie up against that.....it sounds NIGHT AND DAY diff....go figure.

I now have all Miss Leslie's CDs and they're all excellent. She reminds me of Patsy Cline, she's a great fiddle player and she has a fine backing group. I hope she and her group go far.

Truly a fantastic CD. Ricky's steel playing is
outstanding & Miss Leslie's vocals are excellent.
Also, the songs are really well written,
just give a listen to the words while you're
tapping your feet. It's quite clever.
If you really want to hear some great music,
this has got to be one the best CD's ever.
Thanks for Keepin It Country ......maybe the
world will catch on someday !

As the saying goes - "the best things in life are free" - and this project is absolutely worthy of being called the best! You can bet I'll be spreading the word to everyone I know to pull up a chair and listen to some of your great country music!

Thanks for sharing your time and talents, and I hope to meet you all someday and wish you the best of luck for the future. :D

I got mine and I found it refreshing to hear good ole traditional country. I think the music and vocal talent compliment each other very well. Miss Leslie can sing and over all a great album..
