Nashville 400 Reverb Cutting Out

Post by Brinton Payne »

I got a great deal on a NV400. Sometimes when i turn it on, the reverb works, sometimes it doesn't. I've noticed if i jiggle the wire a bit leaing to the reverb tank, i can usually kick it on. Anyone have a suggestion of how to fix this? Can the wires be re-soldered down at the tank? Anyone ever had this issue?

Most of the reverb problems in a Nashville 400 is the infamous "Molex" connector that connects the reverb cables to the motherboard. Sometimes just unplugging it and plugging back in will fix it, other times unplugging it and then spraying electronic contact cleaner on both the male and female pins will clean it and in some cases some of the female pins are not making good contact and they have to be slightly reformed (made narrower).
