Thanks so much to all who made time to come and support the PSGA show this past weekend in Norwalk, CT. I was really pleased with the support from all the familiar faces as well as a lot of new young faces in our audience this year.
The kind words about the show from so many people make all the work worth it.
All of us at the PSGA will continue to put on the best steel shows we possble can in the future.
Thanks again,

The blindfold test wasn't for the guitars, it was to see if these guys could tell whether it was Jimbeaux or Buddy Emmons at the steel.
[This message was edited by HowardR on 10 November 2003 at 08:40 PM.]
What was the result of the blindfold test

Wow, what a long ride back to Florida!!!
I want to thank Bob,John,Jeff & Darlene for a super year.
This was by far one of the best PSGA shows over the 30 years of the PSGA.
I especially want to thank the PSGA for the honor of my receiving the Clay Savage Memorial Appreciation Award for the year 2003.

I, too, must add my thanks to all who attended the PSGA show. We, as officers, do this work out of love and addiction to the steel guitar. But, without our members support, we could not have these great shows.I, personally, thought that this show was one of our best. The performers were ALL, top of the line. So many different styles and sounds to listen to. It was almost mind boggle-ing. I think that there was a favorite for everyone to savor. I know I have mine!! Again, thank you all for attending, and making it a magnanamous event.

I just wanted to add my two cents worth. As most of you know, I do quite a few steel guitar shows around the country, usually around 25 per year. This past weekend in Norwalk was one of the best yet. Everything about this show was strictly first class. Bob, Jeff, John and all the others really know how to run a professional show. Now I am noted for saying what I think, and I am going to now. As long as I have been playing steel guitar, there are special musical moments for me personally and Sunday at Norwalk was one of those times. I owe it all to the great backup band. I cannot remember when I actually enjoyed playing as much. The band makes all the difference in how I play at a particular time. These guys were really on and I had what I personally call a "musical high", and I don't get these very often. Now let me clarify, since I don't drink or do drugs, this is the only high I can have. When we finished playing "Almost Like Being In Love", I had to get my breath, as the band again just blew me away. Larry Eagle is, without a doubt, one of the finest drummers I have ever worked with. I will shut up for now, but I certainly enjoyed this show more than I can express. I hope to never have to miss one.

I'm back and I survived NYC! What a show! They've had 30 years experience of running this club and they know what they're doing. The band and staff could not have been better. I agree with Herby, this was one of my highlights.
Judy and I spent 3 days in NYC after the show vacationing. What a great city! After we got a handle on the sub-way system we went everywhere. I've never walked so much. These people are tough.
Thanks again to everyone at the PSGA for having me at your show.

If anyone made an audio tape of the Saturday Nite Super Jam at the Norwalk Convention I would be very grateful to obtain a copy.
I would gladly pay for blanks and postage as is the tradition in the world of Grateful Dead tape trading.
Thanks again to all the organizers and players for throwing a great convention.
Regards,Fred

I'd also like to add my thanks to Bob, Jeff and John and all the others that made the show such a success. My wife and I enjoyed meeting a lot of new friends and seeing some old ones too. Thanks to the band, you were terrific. We had to leave early on Sunday because of the long trip home (10 1/2 hours) but we really had a great time. Thank you John (and you know who you are) for giving me the George and Tammy album that I didn't have. I really appreciate it. Thanks again Bob for your invitation. Hope to see you again next year. www.sonnycurtis.net
