Edward "HANK" Eldridge

Post by Bernie Watruba »

Today a dear Steel Guitar friend passed away
in a Nashville hospital. We received the call from
his wife Barb this evening. Hank and Barb have been
at most of the ISGC over the years and made many good friends. Hank spent years in the ILL area and
will be buried in Pekin, IL arrangements are pending

Deeply saddened to learn of Mr. Hank's
passing! I met him for the first time
at ISGC-2003, and we hit it off as
pals just because we saw "Tennessee"
on each other's nametags.

MAY GOD BLESS AND COMFORT THE ELDRIDGE FAMILY!

With prayers and sympathy,

Hank, My Friend

Post by Dan Burnham »

Bernie,
I met Hank at St. Louis last year. I found out that he lived in Tullahoma, Tn. were I lived. After that we became good friends, in fact he would come by the store and we would talk steel guitar for many hours. He was an incredible man and friend. I moved back to West Tennessee and we talked a week before he died. He was always up beat and had a smile on his face and joke waiting. For a short man he sure stood tall in character. It saddens my heart as I read your post. He didn't talk much about the cancer and was always joking and smiling.
It gives me comfort because Hank and I many of times talked about Christ and his relationship with Him.
Thanks for posting the info,
 Dan

Could someone post a photo of Hank. I'm not sure who he is. I received a phone call from Hanks niece. She had just gottin home from the funeral.
She said Hank had a photo of me at his house. I've met so many great people in my short time into Steel
and my memory is getting bad also. Anyway I feel bad about this and would like to see who he is.
