ISG Hall of Fame Member Bobby Koefer, the great Bob Wills steel guitarist who plays non-pedal steel with only a thumbpick and flat bar, now has a fantastic CD with 33 songs available. The CD is appropriately named "Thumbin' It."
Here is a sample of Bobby's driving style:
Honeysuckle Rose by Bobby Koefer
Upon request, each CD will be copied from the master, a "home" computer CD label and insert will be generated and the insert signed by Bobby. There is a $20.00 fee(check or money order), per CD, for copying, shipping(within the US-First Class mail) and handling.
Check or money order payable to:

I have no financial interest in this project. I'm posting this for Bobby because I feel that every steel guitarist should hear Bobby's outstanding playing and have this piece of history in his or her music library. Roy Ayres _________________ Pioneers of Western Swing HOF, Seattle 2005

HI ROY,
BOBBY really shines on Honeysuckle Rose.
Are all the tunes instrumentals?
Please list all the tunes on Bobby's CD.

Roger,
As I recall, two -- or possibly three -- out of the thirty three are vocals. One of the vocals is Bobby singing (and playing) Hawaiian War Chant -- it's real hoot.
I'll try to find time tomorrow to list the songs individually. _________________ Pioneers of Western Swing HOF, Seattle 2005
