Rotary Speaker Leslie Simulator

Post by Mark van Allen »

I've just used this a couple of times, but I'm really impressed with both the sound and extensive adjustments. Behringer Rotary Machine Leslie Rotary Speaker simulator. Slow and Fast rotation speed, Drive control adds grind, and Drum/horn blend. 2 slide switches let you choose 3 ramp speeds and 3 classic rotary speaker sounds, which are really quite convincing. Full stereo in and out, also sounds great in mono. Does not appear to suck any tone when off, either. Near mint with all packaging. $45 shipped

As many folks know, Behringer produces clones of already existing pedals. Judging from the control layout this would appear to be a clone of the Line6 Tone Core Roto-Machine which I've got. If it sounds like the Line6 I can tell you (anybody reading this) that no, it's not as good as a $300 H&K Rotosphere but it's definitely usable. This is a tremendous deal for someone needing a Leslie effect.
Go for it!

Thanks, Bill, I have one of those already. Might be interested in a wah with adjustable sweep...

Boss rotary pedal

Post by Larry Beck »

I have a Boss RT-20 and I use it in every gig. I've owned a fender leslie cabinet and a motion sound unit plus I've played with B3 players so I know what they are supposed to sound like. I would buy this unit again in a heartbeat. It's useful for pads or for R&R solos and anything in between. As they say, try it, you'll like it. The ramp up speed is useful, not just a gimick.
Besides, the psycadelic light is a 60's flashback by its self.

I use a Boss RT as well. Took some tweaking but I love it much better than hauling that Leslie around. Great for Beach, Rock, new Country and Blues. Oh, don't forget Easy Lovin'! Ha
