As of 7:00 tonight, I have racked up my first million hits on YouTube...My buddy Mr Hartley owns the bragging rights to first to the top, and I get to buy the beer in Dallas...and rightfully so. My heartfelt thanks to all of you that tune in, and find something worth watching..And especially to Del Mullen and Mike Mantey for all their support..And yes, the new book is almost finished!...Mickey[/img]

I met David Hartley at the TSGA Show in Dallas Last year Chris...And we were just discussing what the odds were of one of us making it to a million hits. I knew that Dave would make this mark first, becuase his technique is so incredibly advanced, and his phrasing is as well...I just openend my mouth... He rightfully won the bet just a few weeks ago...I didnt miss him by much...and I sent him a subliminally argumentative congratulations letter!... :P :P

Hello Mickey,
I guess it is not exaggerated to say that your contributios today easily come up to what Winnie´s Book was to all the students 30 years ago!
Hope your first book (more to come?) will be a million seller like your videos!!!
You deserve it! :D

Whenever you´re over here in western Germany, I´d be honored to buy YOUR BEERS....
(Of course this also goes to the "attitude guy"!)
Keep up your good spirit

WOW :!: awesome..

How many people are in your family ?

Just kidding, what a great accomplishment. I account for about 15 or 20 of the hits. I'm part of the party I guess !

Congrats Mickey!!! I can't tell you how much your videos have helped me.

Thanks to this crazy internet thingy, we may never know how many people you and David(and other who post on U tube)have influenced to play the PSG.

I imagine 10 years from now we will hear stories from some kid, with killer chops in Botswana or Bvaldistan or some other corner of the world, who stumbled on your videos, loved the sound of the steel and had to have one.

Point is, you and David(and others) are probably doing more to promote Pedal Steel Guitar, just from the sheer reach of the internet, than anybody thus far...just my wacky opinion, of course.
