Strength Of Schedule 2008

Post by steve takacs »

Whatever the outcome, I'm real proud of my Steelers this year; toughest schedule in the NFL, major injuries that left the running running game (Parker, Mendenhall), & two punters injured and offensive lines weakended. Then too, they had to play the Ravens (no. 2 ranked defence) three times this season.... never a joy to mix it up with such a physically tough team.

Well, I'm from Boston and this area is split between Steelers and Eagles, but I'm a Steelers fan. When it comes to basic hardcore football - blocking and tackling - they have it covered.

Of course, when the Steelers and Patriots go at it, I have a slight problem, to say the least. But I have always respected the Steeler organization tremendously. I guess I just like their brand of football.

GO-O-O-O-O BRONCOS!!!

Oh, wait a minute....

Actually, since we (Denver) aren't in it, I wish the Steelers the best. I'll be yelling for 'em.

That would be cool if the NFL would have Jay Dee Maness play the National Anthem. Leo J.Eiffert,Jr. and the Homing Pigeons Band.

I know they're not super bowl bound this year, but all ya'll GFI players should have a little thing for the colts...espescially if you play one of those blue geeetars...those horshoes on the fretboards are all unitas!

Bump for last pre-Super Bowl comments. Al Udeen, who is the "little guy" from South Minneapolis... a ref? Though they are not steel guitarists, two more personalities have weighed in. Former cowboy QB, Roger Staubach, is supporting Arizona. Guess he's never forgiven the Steelers for those Dallas losses to the Steelers. President Obama is going with the Steelers. WIN THAT "6 PACK" Steelers!

Joe,

the last I heard there are almost no Card supporters in Tampa.
May the best team ("Stillers") win.

Steeler Super Bowl Six Pack

Post by steve takacs »

Tommy, you beat me to the punch. I watched this game at a Beijing bar and was it ever nerve wracking. I aged one year. Got to give the Cardinals credit; they almost pulled it off. Had it not it not been for that 100 yard runback by Harrison and the Offense finally getting something together in the last minute ( the O-line, Big Ben and Santonio Holmes). it could have turned out differently.

The Steelers have the TEAM ethic and with solid Rooney family ownership and coaching (three coaches in the last 40 years) it showed. The Cardinals are tough and will be back..... steve t

It was a great game, and the Cards played very well. It was a tossup till the last 30 seconds.

A little appropriate music: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=naaU8YHvoGc

From Linebacker U.: Congratulations Steelers!

One of the better halftime shows I've seen. May have been the shortest show Bruce has ever done! LOL
