Just recieved my copy of Jim's new CD "Four To The Bar" and it is absolutely great. The cover and insert are worth the price of the CD. Way to go Mike Ihde !!!! The choice of material is great and the treatment with which Jim and the fine musicians on the project give to each song is impeccable. Jim is a great steel guitarist and very soon his very talented son will be getting his own recognition as a fine sax player. Beware Jim . This CD is a must for every one's collection. I have certainly listened (and played along) for many hours since recieving my copy. Thanks Jim, for your talent. I'm looking forward, as always, to the next time we get to work together.

Thanks so much, guys. I'm delighted to hear you're enjoying the disc. I feel like a new papa, sending his baby out into the big bad world and hoping he's not the only one who thinks she's beautiful...
Mike Ihde did a stellar job on this disc, both as a contributing musician (check out his solo on "Nights in White Satin"!) and as the graphic designer. We had a fun day in Boston together, shooting the cover, then Mike took the various pictures and assembled them into the great cover scene below.
I'm not gonna post the inside booklet photo; you're gonna hafta buy one to see that!

I've got to have one.I'll pick it up in st. Louis if he has any left. I always did love Jims hair style in fact I had mine done the same way. What a genius cover design. What a way to be a"head" of the game.

Jim,
I recognize that pose -- the JC in the black suit -- as a "cover" of Johnny Bush on his "Whiskey River / There Stands The Glass" album. Johnny did, however, manage to keep his tie out of the glass... he'll probably demand a royalty in St. Louis.

And the best part is that the CD itself is suitable for framing!

Hey Jim! Picked up a copy of your new CD at Scotty's and really love it! Your playing is great as well as your selection of tunes ranging from Sonny Rollins to Parker plus renditions of Ronstadt's material. I like all the cuts but especially Night's In White Satin. Keep 'em coming, Jim! ...lefty |
