Dynalap Model #01 video

Post by Mark Vinbury »

I have recently added a link to a video of the Dynalap model #01 on my website.

The lap steel is the figured maple Model #01 in the website pictures. It was completed from a kit by Jerry Gleason, an accomplished builder and player who's talents are displayed in this great video.
Many thanks to Jerry for allowing me to use this.

Here is a link to the clip

Great job, Mark. That really shows off the Dynalap well. What tuning were you using?

(I'd recommend uploading this to YouTube so the greatest number of people can see this, as not everybody in the Windows world has a copy of QuickTime installed.)

Man, that #01 body style really comes alive with the reddish stain and the neck left natural. Looks great. Sweet playing, too. Kudos to Mark and Mr. Gleason!

I have revised the link to this video on the Dynalap website. It is now a YouTube clip and doesn't require the QuickTime software.

Thank you again to Jerry Gleason for allowing me to use this great video.

That is a great sound Mark. Are you using any fancy boxes or is that just LS and amp?

The video is not mine it was made by a customer, Jerry Gleason who was gracious enough to allow me to use it.
My understanding from a post here on the Forum,is that it was recorded direct through a Sarno Tonic tube preamp. Jerry is an accomplished player and has posted some "home" recordings that I find to have exceptional sound quality.
