just thought id put some pics up of the work that David Wiggins done for my sho bud pro 1 - i wanted a knee lever fitted but living in London, England getting original sho bud parts is quite a headache - he made an identical looking Sho bud knee level from scratch that plays and feels like the original ones on it

and he's is a great guy aswell

I'd recommend him for the job!

The Wiggins guitar is excellent. Not sure if Dave still makes them, but I have seen examples of his guitars in the 70's and he is a great engineer.

Hey Spencer, when I changed over to a universal tuning in 1982 on my Bud from an extended E9th, loads of extra bits had to be made, pedals and knee levers. Dave did it for me. He's a great engineer. By the way I'm back in Grays now in the house you came to. Get in touch one day, we'll have a picking session :D

Cheers,

Micky

Hi Y'all !
Many thanks for the mention Spencer, I am so pleased that you are pleased, it's what I'm here for.
And thanks to all you guys, for the nice things said.
In my humble opinion, the parts should like retro-fit. It's not cheating, but when you are at a gig and the lead guitarist comes over, as you are packing up and says "Hey Iv'e got one those, nice tone, is that lever/pickup original manufacturers part? It should look clean ,nice and original; in the style of as the lead guitarist amongst us, would say of a riff or lick !!
A DERBY guitar with Sho-Bud style parts, or an MSA with ZB style is just NOT on.
Excell should look like Excell.
Thanks a lot again you guys and Ken, Thanks,I am not building at the moment;;!! but things could change ???
As I have a ten inch wide bty 3/4",ten foot plank of Maple, up the stairs and my Mrs of 43yrs, has decreed that the decorator will do the hall way;soon.
You make me very happy;thanks Dave.
