Post by Ray Harrison »

It is with the heaviest of hearts that I post this Announcement.........
This morning we lost our good friend Ben.
The arrangements and cause of death will follow in another posting.

When I received the news, I was so pleased that Ben and I had spent about 2-2.5 hours on the phone visiting yesterday.
I spoke with Jayne and she at first didn't wish to post until all the arrangements and cause of death were known, but then realized that it may take too long to obtain COD.
This is anothe great Friend that I will miss terribly.
Please excuse any mistakes, due to the fact that I'm not seeing or thinking very clearly.

My heart is heavy tonight as well due to this news. Ben was a great guy and a teriffic bass player. He has played the SWSGA Arizona show the past 5 years, and was due in this Wednesday for the 6th show. We will miss Ben terribly; his wit from the bandstand was unsurpassed! And if you ever got an email from Ben, you were bound due be on the floor laughing you a$$ off. Our condolences to Jane and the family. Rest in peace, old buddy.

It is with heavey heart I make this post.Mr Ben has been a dear friend for over forty years. I have been on many bandstands with him, and always enjoyed his music, and his sense of humor.I visited with him many times in his home, and was fussed at many times for not coming more often.
I, along with many of you will miss him so much.My condolences to Jayne and the family.I ask our Dear Maker to hold each of them in His loving hands, and console their aching hearts, and bring to each of them comfort, and peace.
Rest in peace dear friend.

Been in disbelief of this since
getting the word this afternoon.

Ben was one of the best pals a
guy could have, not to mention
what a terrific musician he was.

God keep Ben and bless
his family and friends.

 This morning my heart is so heavy. I'm deeply saddened by the news of Ben's death. Not only was I honored to have him play bass with me, but once he also graciously allowed Jeff Newman to borrow his bass guitar to play with me at a show. Of course, Ben told Jeff that afterward, he would have to "wipe all of the wrong notes off his bass guitar" when the set was finished  . Ben's wit and talent was only surpassed by his kind and gentlemanly manner. My sincere condolences to his family. May Ben rest in peace.
