What ever became of that Peavey lap steel? Has anyone received one yet? I thought some of you actually had ordered one.

Heard anything?

I put a deposit down in Feb 2008 and the last I heard was they will be released in Jan 2009. But no word as of today.

I've started a couple of "wondering" threads about this guitar myself.

Perhaps Mike Brown can chime in and give us an update?

The project very well may have tanked.
I ordered one a year ago from Guitar Center and left a $200 deposit.
The store manager had inquired about it several times and received no response.
Fact is, they never even heard about it - except from me ordering it.
I went and got my deposit back about a week ago . .

Peavey has discontinued the Nashville 1000 Amplifier,
and they're not coming to the TSGA Jamboree in Dallas this year.

But don't worry - even though Peavey won't be there, Carco Clave and Renae' Truex will still be there.
They'll be performing in the Chagall Room at the Non Pedal Session on Friday,
and in a special show on Saturday . .

I was at a Peavey dealer about a month ago.
I asked him about Peavey's lap steel and I got that deer in a headlight look.
He did an internet search and found something about it there.
But that's as far as it went.
