Lost Reverb

Lost Reverb
Last night I was playing with the settings on my Peavey Nash. 1000. I shut off the DD-3,and turned up the reverb only to find out I didn't have it anymore. When I turn up the master reverb knob, there is a change in the back round noise but no reverb. The wires from the spring box look in tact. I have a call in to a Peavey repair shop, but I was wondering if anyone had come up against this problem before. Thanks in advance John D.
