Doug Stone and the Stone Age Band will be appearing at Whisky River in Macon, GA tomorrow night, Friday, January 9. I'll be doubling on guitar and steel playing my great old Fessenden and Doug will be singing all the old hits. See you there! |

Wish I could be there! I always like Doug Stone, saw him live in Binghamton, NY when he was just getting started. I know he had some health issues for awhile... Didn't know if he was still in the music business. Sounds like a fun gig. Do you travel with him on a regular basis?

Thanks for the reply, Larry. Yes, I'm Doug's band leader and double on lead and steel guitar. I was with him back in the day ('90 to '95), and then he had his health problems and we lost contact for years. Just last year we got back in touch and we're working together again. We hope to have a good, full schedule for '09, so maybe we'll get up your way. Doug's singing as good as ever and he's a really good guy! Well, gotta go - midnight bus call......... |

I was Michael's roomate for a year and he is a great steel player and awesome guitarist. If you are in the area to go and hear him play with Doug, don't miss the opportunity. Plus Michael is just a great guy to boot. He also is a good cook. I know from experience.
