Ian Uftons tuning , beautifull Kahana on hsga audio page

Ian's audio clips on the hsga site are just so bluesy and I'm trying to learn his rendition of beautiful kahana but Im really struggling to decipher the tuning. It starts in D sharp and seems to have c6th type leanings but some of his licks sound awkward in this tuning. Can anyone help, he doesnt respond to my emails (no problem) hence my query here, if your out there Ian thats a killer style buddy !

Ian Ufton is simply ... a phenomenal musician ... steel, guitar ... whatever.

I've had the pleasure of hearing and chatting with him .... a few times in Joliet ....

His father ... Ken Ufton ... in my opinion, is a contemporary of the likes of Jerry Byrd, Dick McIntire, etc ...

We, over on the HSGA forum ... are privileged to have Ken as a regular participant ...

Thanks for your help Rick, I have joined the HSGA and await my welcome letter which will allow me to introduce myself to the forum and begin my quest. In fact Im looking forward to having another site to view in order to help further my interests in lap steel.
