I was reading that somewhere out there, there is a 15 disc bootleg copy of all of the recorded Mother's Best shows.

I would love to find this...it is supposedly Don Helms at his finest!!!

I know that they recently released some of the material & will release more of it later on. It is my understanding that some of it will never be released.

Does anyone know anything about the 15 disc set??? Anyone have any ideas???

Casey

Friend, I have yet to hear about the
15-disc set, but a sweet little old
lady at church heard me talk about
Hank Williams in a sermon and bought
me a 3-disc set of his "lost" recordings
from 1951. Don Helms is front and center
on many of those numbers!

Here is a link:

The Record Lady had all those songs. I had them all downloaded until my @^&(*%$#@ hard drive crashed. That'll teach me to backup data.

Casey:
That bootleg set was around on the internet for some time and then Hank Jr and his half sister Jett went into court to try and get the material for the Williams estate. After wining an 8 year court fight, the new released material is part of that material. From what I understand, they are only planning on releasing 143 songs compared to the 293 on the bootleg set. Bootleg set also has Mother's Best ad's and is totally unretouched or edited.
