There will be a steel jam on the last Sunday in July. That's July 27, '03. It will be at the Washington County Airport(AFJ) at the Air Charter Service Office Complex, 600 Airport Rd. They have a beautiful new facility with a large event room that is great for such an event. It will be from Noon 'till 8PM, or whenver we get done pickin'. It's $4.00 at the door. There will be food available all day.
We will have a room for a Swap Shop. If you have an item you want to sell, bring it and put it on display. Bring your wallet, you might see something you want to take home. We will also have a room open for vendors and dealers to have a display. Call if you would like more info.
Air Charter Service is a full service FBO for those of you who fly. We would really like to see the ramp full of planes that day for the jam. Parking will be free for all. Including cars, if you have to drive. The facility is located on the west end of the airport. If you're driving, the airport is 2 mi. south of Washington on PA 18. Real easy to get to.
Call if you need further directions.

Jim, I'll be there as long as I can bring a Mullen Steel in there. From your Flyer you printed up it only shows Zum's. They are a great Steel, I just don't happen to have one yet! I did say yet didn't I? I'm glad my wife doesn't read the Forum. And I hope your don't either, because if she does I'm in real trouble. I'd like to own them all, just haven't gotten one them Zum's as of this time. Count me IN!!!!

It doesn't matter what kind of steel you have or how you get there, just come on over and have some fun with the rest of us.

Sonny,
That would be great. You might want to get in touch with Greg. He said he's coming too. Should be a real good time.

Gary & Gary, that's great. Looks like a good one so far. I've had some great response from guys all over. New York, Maryland, Ohio, even a couple from N'ville. It might get real interesting before it's all over. See you all there.

For those who are planning to fly in for the jam, Air Charter Service is discounting AV fuel, that day, if you would need it. Just thought you might like to know that.

For those who have asked me for directions to the jam. Go to www.aircharterserviceinc.com/location1 and look at the directions on the web site. There are directions there for both driving and flying in. If you need more help, email me or call me, (724-222-1894) and we'll help you as much as we can.

I've had several calls about the directions because MapQuest isn't very clear about it. Here the best way.
I-70 west of Washington, PA exit 15, Chestnut St. Keep to the right off the ramp. Go to 2nd stop light, turn right onto Franklin Farms Rd. Go to end of Franklin Farms Rd. ( about 1 mi.)to a "T" intersection, turn right onto Rt.18S. Approx 2mi. on right see large sign for Washington County Airport. Turn right, 100 yds, turn right again, onto Airport Road. Go to top of hill to main parking lot. Keep going through parking lot to the left. Follow that road all the way around to the far end of the airport. Follow signs to Air Charter Service. Park on side or in rear of bldg. Not on the ramp out front. That's for airplanes.
Thanks for all your response, It's shaping up to be a great day. We WILL have fun.

Gino, We already talked to Bobbe. He's going to be in Indiana doing a show. He thought about earlier though. There are some other people flying in. The weather looks great for a change. Should be a good day for flying or driving. See ya there.
