Hi Folks: Wife and I headed out Sat 26th on 6 week Camping vac starting with a week in Oshkosh Wi to the EAA International Air Show and then on up into Canada? (My Wife has the intinery of travel) and then we will be coming back through North and South Dakota (See Mt. Rushmore etc)and head on over to St Louis for the Steelguitar convention. Any information about any steelplaying along the way would sure help make this camping trip more enjoyable. Ha-Ha. Be back in Danville Va after Labor Day.

Hi Ken!

I just drove past the EAA grounds, and there's a few campers there even now. I live about 1/2 hour south of Oshkosh. A couple weeks ago the group that I play with was in Oshkosh, and even Thunder Bay, Ontario not long before that. Wish we could've connected... Anyhow, have a good time at the EAA.

Don't know of any steel in the area but I envy you the Airshow. I belong to 2 EAA chapters here in Texas and I've been to Oshkosh several times. I usually drive, my 1946 T-Craft is a little slow for the trip. One question "How on earth did you get your wife to camp? Must be a motor home. I got mine to try the tent once but never again. That was 20 years ago.

Well, I envy you. My wife and I made OSH for 10 years in a row. Camped under the wing over in the Antique/Classis area. Never had so much fun in my life. Walked ourselves to death.l Did some volunter work. Introduced a grandson OSH. We plan on getting back next year. We always enjoyed to flight there and back. Usually overnighted in Columbia, MO.

I'm flying my Stinson up for two days, no steel guitar though. I'm going to have fun, not work. Hope to see you there. I'll be the guy with the biggest smile Ken.
